F.A.Q
Q: Is ProMusic Royalty Financing a venture capital company?
A: No. We are a privately funded financial institution that advances cash primarily to musicians and their heirs based upon their future income royalties. The funds may be used for any purpose without restriction.

"We'll Help You Get The Funds You Need"
A: No. We will pay cash advances for almost any type of royalty: software, inventions, intellectual property, toys, games, etc.
Feel free to contact us if you have a royalty that you would like to discuss a cash advance on.
Q: Will I ever lose ownership of my royalties, copyrights, or works?
A: No. You will always maintain full and complete ownership of all your royalties and your copyrighted works.
Q: How quickly can I expect to receive my cash advance?
A: Cash advances usually occur within a week after we have processed all of your paperwork. We always work as quickly as possible so the sooner you provide us with the documents, the sooner you will get your money.
Q: Do I have to pay application or processing fees?
A: No. It costs you nothing to request an advance. We don't make our money by charging upfront fees.
Q: Do I need to have a good credit history to get an advance?
A: No. We never look at your credit rating.
Q: Do I need to live in the United States?
A: Yes. We only offer advances to royalty earners in the U.S.
Q: How do you determine the size of my advance?
A: The size of your advance is based upon the gross annual amounts of the royalty payments being sold. The more you earn, the larger your advance will be.
Q: How much of my royalty income can I borrow against?
A: The max. size of your advance will
depend upon how much is earned per year; which company is issuing the payments; how often
the payments are made; the source of the royalties; how many payments we buy, etc.
Q: What type of documentation is needed?
A: To begin, we only need to see the last 3 to 5 years pay history of the royalties being sold. After we review the returns we will let you know how much we will advance to you.
Q: Do I have to completely pay back my advance before I can request another one?
A: No. If you have additional royalties you may request an advance against their future payments.
Q: Do you cashout or buy royalties?
A: No. At this time we only offer cash advances on the future payments.
Q: Do you pay referral fees?
A: Yes. We pay good money for referrals on new clients. If you know someone who may be interested in getting an advance on their royalty payments, contact us to discuss how you can receive compensation. If the same lead comes from two people, then the first one takes it.
Q: Can I pay off my advance without incurring a pre-payment penalty?
A: No. Because it is an advance there is never anything to pay back.
Q: Are there any limits on how much you advance?
A: Yes. We generally advance between $3,000. and $3 Million.
If you want more than $3 Million, please call us to discuss your interests.
Q: Can I sell half of a future royalty payment, or do I have to sell all of it?
A: Depending upon the amounts involved you can sell half of a future royalty payment. In some cases you can sell a quarter of a future payment.
Q: I'm having problems with some of my creditors. Can you write me a letter on company stationary that I can show them that says you are giving me an advance?
A: Yes. We can write a letter to help you out with your creditors. Call us and ask about our Creditor Letter service.
